OPTOVERA Trust
Designed for safety. Built for privacy.

What OPTOVERA is
OPTOVERA is a workforce readiness and safety decision-support platform. It helps organizations manage fatigue-related risk in operational environments by providing objective, time-of-assessment indicators that support proactive safety decisions.

It is not a medical device. It is not a diagnostic tool. It does not diagnose medical conditions or identify the cause of reduced alertness. Results are informational — intended to be reviewed by qualified personnel as part of broader safety processes. Human oversight is central to every decision the platform supports.

How OPTOVERA works
OPTOVERA Scan analyzes characteristics of the Pupillary Light Reflex — a natural physiological response in which the pupil reacts to light. Scientific research in neuroscience, human factors, and safety-critical performance contexts has shown that changes in pupil dynamics may be associated with variations in alertness, fatigue, and cognitive workload.

OPTOVERA applies this established signal in a non-diagnostic, operational safety context — as one of several inputs used to assess readiness for work.

Privacy by design
Privacy and data minimization are not compliance afterthoughts at OPTOVERA — they are core design principles.
We intentionally limit the data we process. The platform collects no direct personal identifiers such as names, government IDs, contact details, or payroll data. User identifiers within the system are pseudonymous and managed by the customer organization. OPTOVERA maintains no independent identity registries of workers.

Where biometric data is used, it is used for one purpose only: linking a readiness measurement to a previously registered user within the customer's own environment. It is not used for surveillance, tracking, profiling, group identification, database searches, law enforcement, or any public identification purpose.

Biometric-derived features — such as pupil response metrics — are used exclusively within operational readiness and safety workflows.

Roles and accountability
OPTOVERA operates exclusively in a business-to-business context. Customer organizations act as Data Controllers — they configure the platform, determine how it is used, and retain full responsibility for interpreting outputs, making safety decisions, and taking any employment-related actions.

SOBEREYE acts solely as a Data Processor, processing data only on documented customer instructions.
OPTOVERA does not make decisions on behalf of employers. It provides information. The decision always remains with a qualified person.

Human oversight is central to every output.
No marketing. No automated decisions
OPTOVERA data is not used for marketing, advertising, or unrelated analytics. The platform does not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals. Every output is a support tool — not a verdict.

Security You can trust
SOBEREYE operates a comprehensive Information Security Management System aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 and certified under that standard. Our security program includes encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, environment segregation, audit logging and monitoring, and ongoing internal training.

Data retention periods are defined by the customer, and data is securely deleted or anonymized when no longer needed. A dedicated Data Protection Officer (DPO) oversees privacy compliance and supports regulatory and stakeholder inquiries.

Our commitment
OPTOVERA exists to make workplaces safer — for the people who work in them and the organizations responsible for them. Privacy protection, human oversight, and security are not constraints on that mission. They are part of it.

Safer operations. Responsible data. Security you can verify.
